This is my first photo of this species for years, so please forgive the distance involved! There were at least 4 individuals present and I was happy with just hearing them booming, until this happened

I managed to have free time at the exact break in the weather yestday. Mostly obtained duplicates, but saw my first blackcap of the season (photo not great though, so holding out for better)

I almost stood on a 1M grass snake as I was hot footing it back to the car park in order to avoid going into hour 2 of the parking charge (which I failed). It was a huge shock and the only snake I have ever seen in the UK!! The rest were duplicates....

still trying to figure out the last one - a white cone floating in the water, an conical opening in a cave looking out, or a pure white bird's bum - can any bird's bum be so clean and white?! :D
