172. Atlantic Puffin, Skomer, April

Without a doubt Skomer's lead bird. These little Welsh Butlers really standout amongst the white spring flowers

Excellent additions, both in species and in photographs. Skomer island certainly looks like a place worth visiting!

Some great sightings on your trip. I must go to see the Chough!

Beautiful Puffins in the flowers.

and then another - the puffin looked stunning among the flowers in the beautiful sunlight! are the seabirds at Skomer only at certain times of the year? it certainly is closer to London, the gateway for us if we go to the UK.

Interesting observation about Anglesey! You should have given me a shout...I'm on the list of bird pals here on the site somewhere, must admit I can't find it though. I'm sure I could have pointed you in the right direction for a few more ticks!

@Dave Williams- you're totally right I should have taken your guidance! Without we struggled a bit but still we had a great time. Such a beautiful island.

My new work occasionally takes me to Wales and Slimbridge is a natural stop off on the way home.

178. Red-knobbed Coot, Majorca, June

In early June we went to Majorca on a family holiday. My generous wife afford me a couple of mornings away from the kids to visit the Parc Natural de s'Albufera de Mallorca. It was only a 20min walk from our hotel and well worth it.

182. Cetti's Warbler, Majorca, June

Parc Natural de s'Albufera de Mallorca (at least at this time of year) is famous for Moustached Warbler and Eleonora's Falcon, unfortunately I dipped on photographing either. But what I did see an abundance of this was Cetti's Warbler. They were everywhere and for once conspicuous
