I read in one of the blogs of the Serengeti Cheetah project that they discovered an old female that was about 14 years in age, so I still hope she is somewhere stuck in the flood zone in Northern Botswana and doing well.

I am the first to admit that I ought to give birds their due respect; I only got this image or series of images, because this bird was perched right over the cheetah boys feeding on impala and light on the bird was far superior to the feeding scene - so got some useful images here!

Sable (Lagoon, August 2012)

 

We went back to the cheetah brothers after a quick shower at noon - the cheetahs did not move an inch the rest of the day, but, we found a nice herd of sable en route.
