Lioness sunrise

A lioness sits and contemplates another beautiful sunrise, captured whilst lying underneath my vehicle.

Laikipia- Northern Kenya.

Ele generational procession.

Leading the procession we have the bull, then an adult female and her older daughter and young mischievous son complete with trunk in the air! Above the bull are a trio of squabbling Anteater Chat.

This gives a good indication as to the size of a mature bull to a mature female, a massive difference!

It took over an hour and a lot of patience to capture all four progressively sized with clear separation and to a wonderful late afternoon sky, what a joy to witness!

Lions in the sky

4 females and 1 cub from the Wapuka pride come down to drink.
In  attempting to capture the reflective atmosphere and avoid 'just another sunset' image,  I flipped the shot to show the animals the right way up, creating an intriguing  scene.
