Hello and greetings from Uganda.

I'm new to this forum so hope I've found the right page to share what we are up to in Africa.

I'm part of an NGO in Uganda, 'Bakiga Community Project' and we've just opened a tented lodge in Bwindi, Uganda.

$100 per person per night full board.

Excellent location for gorilla trekking, birding safaris and exploring Bwindi!

All our profits directly fund water development projects in Kabale District, SW Uganda - which is the reason we built the lodge, to create an income stream for that work.

You can findout more www.bakigalodge.org or contact us at info@bakigalodge.org

Look forward to hearing if anyone else has similar projects elsewhere in Africa.

Hello,

I made a Safari in Tanzania for 390 Euro per Person for 3 days (4nights).

We had a great cook (Marcos) who picked up us when we arrived with the bus and who accompanied us to the Hotel in Arusha.

The next three days in the Tarangire NP, Lake Manyara NP and Ngorongoro Crater were awesome. We slept the next two nights in tents in lodges next to the parks and went back to the Hotel the last night.

The last monring our cook arranged a Transport to the Kilimandjaro Airport and picked us up in the Hotel early in the morning. That was a great Service!!

During the Safari, everything was well planned. We never had to wait for more than 5 minutes at the gates and our Driver (Steven) had eyes like an eagle. He saw so many animals we could only see with his help.

In the Tarangire NP we saw a Group of 15 lions 10 minutes after entering the parc!! He could explain us the Name of every animal. Furthermore, he knew some of the German names!!

Every evening and morning the food and the tents were already prepared by our cook Marcos. The food was so delicious and a mix of European and Tanzanian food!!

I really recommend this Safari!!

I have not been to this place, I am just mentioning what the SUNDAY TIMES of Sth Africa which is given out in my hotel distributes

Indala Game Lodge and Bush Spa is near Pretoria .

It has 37 cabins around a dam. with bush and mountains .

It is good for birds and antelope

the rate is ZAR 985 per person per night twin share and it is best to try for the weekend , as it is busy during the week with conferences and events

for more information please see http://www.intundla.co.za
