New members: do feel free to stop by here and introduce yourself. Let us know about your passion for Africa, and give us all a chance to say hello and welcome you aboard. (There are probably some long term members as well who have never introduced themselves...)

Hello all, I am an Australian who has written some books about Africa but I am not as tall as Tony Park. Unlike him though I have been a safari guide, so there.

Welcome Don't Run. No one is as tall as Tony Park, we all manage despite that impediment. Look forward to hearing more about your adventures.

Welcome!! I hope ( or hope not to- not very sure which one) to practice Dont Run for our Zim trip this year.

I think your joining and Paolo and others experiences calls for a retro thread on Botswana in the 1990s- with everyone chipping in with stories/episodes/chapters?

1997??? Mombo??? Maybe I met you too! I was wearing mostly beige and have brown hair, unlike my blonde and spotted avatar. I drank the occasional Amarula and enjoyed the company of Nicky and Limpy (from the safety of the vehicle). Does that ring a bell?

We did not see any dik diks on our outings at Mombo, but maybe a steenbok. Welcome to safaritalk. I think you'll make some insightful contributions along with some humorous ones.

A reminder to all the new members of Safaritalk, please do feel free to introduce yourself by starting a new topic here: tell us about yourself. If you represent a lodge, camp, operator or agency it's a great way for us to get to know you personally.
