On Friday, October 28, 2011, the African Program of The Nature Conservancy (TNC) will host a special event in Rome, aimed at raising awareness about the activities and the conservation model of the Northern Rangelands Trust (NRT) in northern Kenya, as well as the plight of the critically endangered Hirola.

As documented in other threads, there are only a few hundreds of these beautiful antelopes left, and NRT is in the forefront of the battle to save this unique animal (a genus of its own) from extinction.
