I'll help Game Warden and get the ball rolling here as well. I'm sure everyone has a lion photo to share.

Too many of my images sit unedited on a hard drive, so I made a New Years resolution to get through around 7,000 keepers by 2014. Though how many I add to the collection could push the date back.

Some I edited the other day - I think I am semi-professional, before any debate begins wink.gif

WOW, wonderful pictures!!!! Thanks Russell and Johan! I particularly enjoy the first male lion by Russell and the Kalahri lion in the wind (or was it a storm?) by Johan.

Paolo,

The photo was taken just before hell broke loose.

Jochen,

Your visit to the Okavango delta was in 2008 if I am not mistaken ;)

Pangolin that's like the scene from "Empire Strikes Back" where Han stuffs Luke into the belly of a Tauntaun...

One or two of my lions! This big boy was one of three all "doing what lions do" sleeping together.

We found this one sleeping on a flat bed truck abandoned somewhere on the Mara

and these were a few of a big pride of 18 which was a stunning sight on a beautiful afternoon

Samburumags: please delete the last image from your gallery and reload it at a smaller size: 1000 pix width maximum. (with lower resolution) such file sizes are chomping up Safaritalk's storage space: which means that soon I will have to pay a higher monthly fee for hosting... Thanks, Matt

Wow, that last photo made my heart stop a beat.

Marc - I was in South Luangwa at the same time as you. I have the same shot of the lions in the dark on the log but yours is far better quality!
