Mother and baby!

A cheer squad, I like that, Caracal. Wonder what kudu pom pons would look like?

The last time I had a cheer squad was when I competed for Miss Milk Maid and had to milk a cow for the first time in my life. The cheer included, "Pull that udder, milk that mother!" Beauty was not part of that competition.

I lost.

Sorry, I am completely inept at doing this. You have to click on it to get a bigger image.

I think I got it now, thanks GW!

That one's from Tsavo East. I've also seen them in Tsavo West, Taita Ranch and Meru. I've seen more in the Tsavo areas than Meru but I think that's a reflection of the time of year I've visited.

OK I'm lost. How are you guys inserting images that don't come out as thumbnails?

Have I got to show the secret handshake again?

The secret handshake is easier than milking a cow. I'm immersed in lovely kudu photos.

I was fortunate to see a family of lesser kudu in Ruaha National Park, 2008. This was not our only sighting but this family remained long enough to take some photos. They are very shy and elusive but we were lucky that this family seemed slightly more relaxed.

Something a bit unusual....a beautiful lesser kudu bull, pictured in Meru, not far away from our camp (late August 2009); just one of the many sightings of these shy and elegant creatures we have been blessed to have in that park.

Lynn: I hope you are going to have our same luck during your forthcoming trip!

I was lucky enough to get these shots in Tsavo East in 2006.

You may be a little green on posting photos, but you did a great job of capturing the images in the first place. The last time I saw one of these handsome guys was in Tarangire. Funny, I was just thinking about Tsavo East today. May have to start thinking about it some more!

Welcome to ST!

You have posted a nice picture of a Greater Kudu, whilst this thread is devoted to Lesser Kudu..... (Lesser Kudu do not occur in S.A., but only in certain parts of East Africa - Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia and South Sudan)
