Mammal Population Losses and the Extinction Crisis by Gerardo Ceballos  and  Paul R. Ehrlich   MAY 2002 SCIENCE JOURNAL 

 
I came across this article in the references of the predator range loss study
 
you can get free access if you register on their site 
 
they compare range with previous 19th century levels 
 
for Africa  there has been a 72% loss of range
 
in the supplementary information there  is an interesting list  of individual  range  losses   including hirola 91.7% ,black rhino 95.4%, white rhino 97%, Grevy's zebra 91.8%, giraffe 88.7%, hippo 82.8%,elephant 80.1% and eland 60.5%
