15 man taskforce formed 

 

The Nairobi County government in collaboration with the national government has formed a task force to look into the Weston Hotel cholera outbreak. This comes a day after Governor Evans Kidero directed the city health department to launch a full audit on the members of staff at the hotel.

The Nairobi County government has now ordered a full evaluation of all food handlers in city eateries and hotels in a bid to curb the cholera outbreak. According to health officials, out of 25 samples collected from the visitors who started experiencing vomiting and diarrhoea after consuming food at Weston, six were confirmed to have contracted the disease.
