“Africa vs Texas as a Hunting Locale”

3 posts in this topic

http://www.scout.com/outdoors/hunting/story/1783110-africa-vs-texas

~ This article from Scout compares the relative advantage of game hunting in Texas and Africa, with special reference to accommodations, range of species, landscape and overall conditions.

The case for Texas centers on comfort and convenience, as well as the availability of what are described as “Africa extinct species”. Africa is touted as being the sole location for hunting dangerous game.

@Tom Kellie There is good side to this story; please keep in mind that the scimitar horned oryx has been reintroduced to Chad from hunting ranches in Texas. There are other examples such as the European buffalo and Pere David's deer in China.

~ @optig

Thank you for reminding me what needs to be kept in mind.

Whatever is posted is there for anyone to interpret as they see fit.

As to good side and bad side, for whatever reason I don't typically think in those terms.

What you've kindly mentioned above are salient examples among many others.

I appreciate your vigilance in bringing what you feel is significant to the attention of Safaritalk.
