Fine with me if Canon and Nikon want to duke it out in this area. I'm a Nikon man, and the 200-500 is really great. An improvement over that (once the volley is back in Nikon's court) would please me to no end. Hiow about a 14-800 f/2.8 that weighs 3 pounds or less? 😜

Given the popularity of mirrorless cameras...Canon and Nikon are going to have to change things up to stay relevant in the future...so you never know what they will bring.
