I failed to get a shot of Purple-Crested Turaco, one of my main targets. Saw two in the Kanga area of Mana Pools but no photo opportunities.

@michael-ibk, I don't think Ive seen an African Openbill to date. Wow, what a great collection of Raptors, #530 the pair of Lappet-Faced Vultures marching along in unison with the wind in their feathers is hilarious/brilliant, but then I just love Vultures.

448/ZZ100.) Square-Tailed aka Mozambique Nightjar (Caprimulgus fossii) / Welwitschnachtschwalbe

Musekese, 11/10. I remember we positively IDed this one by call.

large.BY110.JPG.1aba0f59a3239c1ac17f9261

We also saw European (distinctive way of flying), Swamp (call) and Pennant-Winged Nightjar (unmistakable in flight because of the extremely long primaries). No idea if I have photos of them, Nightjars are way too complicated for me. If you wanna have a go, please help yourself - this site here provides some excellent Nightjar ID info.
