290/ET213.) Black-Crowned Tchagra (Tchagra senegalus) / Senegaltschagra

Lake Langano. By now it should be obvious what an incredible birding location Langano was - I only put a small number of the birds seen in the trip report.

292/ET215.) Ethiopian Boubou (Laniarius aethiopicus) / Boubouwürger

Lake Langano. Our guide Abiy´s favourite bird, I think because of its melancholic song. Almost endemic to the Horn, only occurring in the extreme East of Sudan and in a small patch of Kenya.

295/ET218.) Abyssinian or Ethiopian Oriole (Oriolus monacha) / Mönchspirol - ENDEMIC

Only occurring in Ethiopia and Erithrea. Very similar to Black-Headed but a bit larger and a more uniform wing pattern. My nemesis bird in Harenna Forest - seen a couple of times, but always way up in the canopy and very hard to see. Much like the European Golden Oriole which I´ve seen a couple of times this year but never managed a photo. Very ebc I´m afraid, from Harenna Forest:

298/ET221.) Somali Crow (Corvus edithae) / Somalirabe

Somewhere between Bale and Dinsho. The bird does not have a red beak - this is blood from a Civet roadkill.

299/ET222.) Pied Crow (Corvus albus) / Schildrabe

The bird I normally forget to take a picture of. Mainly because you mostly seen them in the city or villages, not while searching for wildlife. Close to Senkelle.
