This article from the U.K. Daily Mail tells about a BBC program, “The Chimp Smugglers”, in which a 12-month investigation showed organized animal smuggling for the exotic pet trade.


The very youngest chimpanzees are taken from their mothers to be sent to distant countries as pets, their family groups slaughtered in the process.
