Beautiful shots on this outing. Agree with the others about the Spotted Crake. Really special sighting!

Time to post some more bird photos. Namibia was prolific with bird sightings; only way too many LBJ's . Birds are posted in batches of similar birds.

To all your fellow birders, please do correct me whenever a wrong ID is spotted!! Only thus I will be able to learn and come closer to you :). Thanks In Advance !!

Excellent raptor shots, many of them in flight! They are all very good, but the White-backed Vulture stands out for me. What a majestic bird. Well done Zvezda!

(Hasn't that Wahlberg's Eagle strayed a little from its usual distribution area? Distribution maps may well be outdated, though))

It might not be a Wahlberg's after all, really tough to decide from such a distance and heavy cropped image. Any ideas, @PeterHG ?

What makes you think Wahlberg´s? Why not simply a Tawny?

Don't worry it's not on twice, 116 is the Double-banded Courser.

The adolescent Blacksmith Lapwing was well worked out, stunning bird too especially at this stage, following on from the chick shot you can see the colours developing ,
