I did go on the canoe safari, and I urge others to do the same. It's a fabulous experience. You can only express the beauty of the Zambezi Safari while on canoe safari. You'll see huge pods of hippos, lots of elephants on land, buffalo, and too many birds to count.

I'm sure it is a blast and a wonderful way to experience the Zambezi... but I'll keep these feet of mine on dry land thanks! Hippos and me have a love hate relationship. I love them, but they only seem to love charging my boat, which I naturally hate...

I've had close enough scares with hippos when I've ben in boats with way more grunt than ZaminOz paddle power!

Warning, if any safari camps wish to employ me as a guide, I expect a salary far, far, more commensurate than my actual experience!
