These birds were very far away (I estimate more than a kilometre), so the photos are not great, but due to their conservation status I suspect I may never see them again.

More good shots Peter you are really blessed to be able to walk out your door and see so much. I walk out my door and see snow and the odd crow for 5 months a year!

I thank my lucky stars daily that I was born in and still live in South Africa. We also have our problems, but I believe this must be one of the best countries in the world for a nature lover to live in.

 

Then again, Canada also has some amazing photographic opportunities.
