Something that I didn’t include in Part 1 of my Serengeti Trip Report that might be of interest to some—an observation of natural lice control by an ostrich. February’s Image Of The Month on my website…

I guess I was being a little devious with the title, using the common tactic of “click bait” links on webpages to attract readers, but who would have clicked on “Hyperthermic eradication of Struthiolipeurus struthionis in indigenous Struthio camelus populations”? :)

Interesting image. I had assumed this was the ostrich version of dust bathing which is supposed to help with parasites. But baking them....that is different. A dust road seems to be the perfect place.
