Uganda's Murchison Falls Protected Area's High Biodiversity

~ This news release from the Wildlife Conservation Society, via Newswise, explains that biological surveys of Uganda's Murchison Falls Protected Area have found exceptional biodiversity.



The elephant population is increasing, there is considerable amphibian and avian diversity and a large population of Rothschild giraffe. As oil and gas have been discovered near and under the protected area, careful environmental planning is essential.
