The results of the Ganga dolphin survey has just been released. There over 1200 dolphins according to the survey.

It is not clear for me which areas have further dolphins  and wee not considered in the present survey. I guess there are further habitat and animals in Bihar (Ganga and tributaries), Bengal and Bangladesh (Sunderbans), Assam (Brahmaputra).

They are definitely there in Assam, several places offer dolphin-spotting.

I'm sorry @jeremie I didn't go but was just told about it by our guide when we visited Kaziranga. With a lot of luck you can even see them there.
