Hello,

Watched this documentary on Nat Geo last night - I'm not sure when it was aired. I had it on Tivo a while ago and found it when I was cleaning it up to make room for more .......

Anyways, this is a must watch documentary on the Vumbi pride of Lion in the Eastern Serengeti - although, no dramatic footage ala the Joubert films ....... it's a must watch for anyone interested in going to that part of the Serengeti (Namiri Plains).  One can recognize some of the landscapes and it's a fascinating story re the life of the pride/pride dynamics.  The Nat Geo crew also give their perspective of the pride having followed it for this documentary.

I think I will save this one on my Tivo ;)

Thanks for the recommendation Hari.

I did an Internet video search and found multiple instances on Youtube.  I will post 3 of them in case the links start disappearing over time.

-- I think the 3 youtube links are all of the same TV documentary, but edited slightly differently (with different starting images).   But I could be wrong...

@madaboutcheetah thanks for pointing this one out and @offshorebirder thanks for the links - just watched it.  Very good - though so much brutality - but as the documentary says, that is what it takes to be a lion.
