Inyathi's method is not working. I have tried GW's idea of going to Attach File and I can get the photo on but it will not centre and no matter where I put my cursor it always inserts the photo at the end of the text i.e. if I put the whole report on the photos would all be at the end and not where I want them.    I cant believe this, as I say I have never had a problem before.

Have you hit enter after the last word of the text to start a new paragraph?

Just do it, upload it and if neccesary I'll edit it...

Just practice in this topic Mags before the trip report proper...

You really haven’t seen all there is to see about Cape buffalo until you see one go bottom up in his favorite mud hole and then leap for joy.  This buffalo, which had been left behind by the buffalo herd and even the rest of the dagga boys, was going to be unable to defend himself against a pride of lions if they found him, but at least he had his three minutes of joy.  {This is a test of how to paste text and does not relate to the displayed picture.}

Lions, tigers, and bears! Oh my!  No, no, that was from the Wizard of Oz. I remember it well.   [Testing adding text and centering.]

This is a link to a video and clicking on the link takes me out of Safaritalk.  I would not want to do this in a trip report.

@Matt,

How are videos embedded in a trip report?   Can they be uploaded to a Gallery here on Safari talk?

I see I can not rename/or delete a photo on a photo sharing site if I link to it in a trip report. I guess that is why photos can not be deleted from a person's gallery here.

I uploaded a couple of pictures to my safari talk gallery which I had resized to what I thought were the requirements of the gallery, and my sharp pictures turned all fuzzy when I displayed them in a post.  I was so embarrassed I just deleted the contents of the post, but then found I could not delete the post.  Maybe you can delete the empty post in the "Show us your Pictures of Cape Buffalo" site.  And feel free to delete the above post of mine also where I moved the pictures and they no longer display.

By the way, I only can paste copied text from WORD using Firefox also.  I just have to understand the limitations on pictures and videos embedded in posts.  If I am going to share pictures on a site with expert photographers, my resized pictures can not display fuzzy.  Is the following picture posting too large?

Thanks,

Terry

@Terry I don't know what the expert photographers think but your buffalo look great at that size.

Are you doing it on a mobile device @kokoi or from a PC? What browser are you using?

Matt

I am having the same problem as kokoi when using my PC. Haven't been able to upload an image for months (using Internet Explorer).

Also when using my PC I can't use the @mention function or the Quote function (both of which work fine on my iPad, but not my PC). when I click on them nothing happens... it is as if they are just ignoring me!

Try using Google Chrome to log onto ST first.  My PC stopped uploading pics to ST a while ago, then I used Google chrome and I have been able to upload.

I had the same problems as I could not copy and paste or upload photos after Internet Explorer was updated. It appears that many functions won't work properly if you are using newer versions of Internet Explorer. I am now using Google Chrome for my web browser and everything works. The IT guys at work told me to use Chrome or Firefox so Firefox will probably work also.

@ZaminOz

I switched to firefox for safaritalk because Internet Explorer wouldn't work properly

Firefox appears to work for all functions
