Normally I am not a bird person per se, but Africa is changing that for sure....These bee eaters are fascinating to me. I was able to see some in Bots and THINK I will see them in Zim...or Zam...whatever. Going to both, so hopeful.

 

The pics are lovely.

Dear Graceland,

 

I urge you to visit South Luangwa National Park, and stay at either Shenton Safari's camps( Kaingo/Mwamba or Tafika) because they now have hides for observing carmine bee eaters in season. I saw them in September of 2013, and it was a truly stunning experience.
