The Burchell's coucal is a subspecies of the white-browed coucal, but some elevate it to a proper species. Senegal and coppery-tailed coucal are more difficult to distinguish in areas where they both occur, but coppery-tailed is much bigger (which can be difficult to assess in the field!). In your case there are no coppery-tailed coucals in the area you photographed it, so it must be a Senegal coucal.

Nice!

A few things though: The wattled thrush is a wattled starling, the Dickinson's kestrel is a cuckoo, either European or African (don't have a book at my hand).

Black chested korhaan is a black-bellied korhaan (spell error I guess), Burchell's coucal is Senegal coucal and Southern white crowned shrike is a lesser grey shrike

@@egilio

third - again misremebered - my book just calls them black, without a belly or a chest!

In that area there is a Southern Black Korhaan, a Black-bellied Korhaan and a Red-Crested Korhaan, all have a black belly...

I think this actually is a Red-Crested Korhaan, but I'm not 100% sure, it might be a Black-bellied Korhaan, definitely not a Southern Black Korhaan though.

Hmm, I'd always known them as black bellied, maybe I need a new book?

Having looked more closely at the book, I agree, red-crested - so another new species for me!!
