I've just returned from a couple of weeks in Western Cape, South Africa.

Most of the time was spent on the Swartberg Private Wildlife reserve.

The animals here are much more jittery than on almost any other reserve I've visited. We'd approach a group of antelope grazing nd as soon as I turned off the engine to take a photo they would trot off.

In exasperation I started taking photos of their backsides - much to the puzzlement of my good lady.

 

These are Kafue Lechwe.
