Safari countdown...

On the 29th of March I'll be going to Sarara for four nights. This trip was delayed twice first by my illness and then by poor service. I'm eager to get back to Sarara, especially since I'll be going on the first helicopter trip of my life. I'll also be camping in the cloud forest. As I mentioned before I'll be going to Greystoke Mahale Camp in August for 4 nights and one week to Chada Katavi. Then I'll be going to Tswalu Kalahari for a full ten days. I'll also be penguin and whale watching in Hermanus.

@@pault I feel very lucky. One of the unexpected outcomes of spending time on Safaritalk is that I find myself looking at every trip as an opportunity to discover and record local wildlife!

I never get enough safari-I've even decided to on yet another safari this year. It will be going on a 9 or 10 day safari in Kenya with the inimitable Zarek Cocket in October. I'll be going to the Aberdares, the Kakamega Forest,Lake Baringo,Lake Baringo and an area in Kitale.

My husband and I have 5 weeks left until our Botswana/Zambia trip! I'm really excited as I've never been and have only heard amazing things.

Bit worried about packing though! We are only taking carry-on backpacks this time whereas we've only ever travelled with suitcases before.

It will be an experience that's for sure! I'm terrified of forgetting something. We can't exactly just go to the supermarket if we forget the right travel adaptors or a toothbrush!

Six weeks until the last day of school; six weeks + 2 days until we leave for Kenya! Yes, we count down to the last day of school too!

Ten weeks until Havana - just a quickie cruise to see the city and cars, plus enjoy the food and music.

I have arrived at my Johannesburg hotel in time for breakfast

at immigration there is a lane for nations not needing visa ,using this saved a whole lot of time

as the flight was packed there was a whole lot of baggager to come of which took it time

I checked in early so my bag did not come in a hurry

when I left with mine there could well have been over 100 people waiting around for their bag to come of , or have have to noticed that it was going around on the carosel

I leave for the Ashton's kruger shuttle tomorrow morning

28 weeks until I join Doug MacDonald in Mana Pools... deposit just sent. Thankfully, I have other trips to keep me occupied until then. I blame you, @@Atravelynn, @@SafariChick, @@Big Andy, @@michael-ibk, and others, for posting intriguing trip reports about Mana Pools. I still chuckle about Andy's line about the elephants not being impressed with his trunk (one of the first trip reports that I read on Safari Talk.)
