As Flickr isn't available where I live, I'm glad that this image was also available through Safaritalk.
I especially admire photography of deeply saturated colors, so this image immensely appeals to me.
It's a great service to all Safaritalk members and visitors to share these fine images with us.
Thank you very much for such a beautiful squirrel portrait.

That's a terrific image from the Sonoran Desert Museum!
The subject stands out with such clarity from the bokeh blurred background.
Every hair is so sharply rendered.
The squirrel's tiny ear reminds me of newborn baby's ears.
Thank you for posting it.

Yellow Bellied Marmot, Yellowstone, thankfully the only creature I saw as I walked back to my car alone from the Canyon Lower Falls to the carpark. The rest of the family hiked on, I was left to pickup the car to meet them later. Not one other person, no bear-spray, nerve racking walk. Not a week after getting home, someone posted a photo of a Grizzly on the very trail. Anyway, he was a friendly sight with his Chocolate and Caramel coat. Shot with the trusty SX40.

Squirrels are cool! Some of my pictures of the little rascals, all taken with my D4s and my 200-400 f/4. Taken in Telemark, Norway. Busy lifes they live eating, climbibg and dodging Goshawks.
I was blessed with some great light that morning :-) suits me good,i really like photographing into the light.
