On the 23 November 2012 we were driving back to Urikaruus Camp in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. It was 6.15 pm and in November you have to be back in camp by 7.30pm. We thought we will just get back to camp and relax and see if anything turns up at the waterhole - spotted hyenas and lions usually visit in the evening. About 3 km south of the camp we found this little guy all by himself in a tree. We had heard that Barolong, the female in the Urikaruus area had been seen a week before with two cubs. He has since been named Tshidi and he was about 5 months old at the time.

 

Yes, we with him till 7.25PM.

We found him again the next morning at the foot of the tree

One Afternoon in Big Marsh, Ndutu. A lioness and 2 cubs. Was one of the highlights of this safari.
