First go at black and white since the days of film!

And strangely enough, it actually looks a bit like a film slide! It's very attractive Tony, and so's your Bunyoni picture. Maybe you have found a new talent.

@@Soukous... Great sable shot. That one really wanted to be B&W.

Thank you - I do like the look of black and white film (and the look you achieve in your Uganda B&W shots)

@@Kitsafari

Thank you - he was very expressive - and sometimes very thoughtful! I have put a few more of him here...

Wow @@Soukous! I am a bit late to this party, but your image of Elephants at the watercourse/waterhole looks like a print from an etching circa 18??. Where was it taken, pray tell?

@@offshorebirder - OK, I'm old, but not that old!

The shot was taken in September 2014 in Hwange NP.

I played around with it a bit using NIK filters in Photoshop

That's a fine image!

Your caption gives the context, so that it's clear why the lion looks lioke that.

Rain...

It's so helpful to see the full shooting setting information — Thank you!

Black and white brings out patterns in the riverbed which might likely be overlooked.

The water, the mud/sand are almost an abstract, in contrast to the distinctive rhino geometry.

Very nice!
