Okay, sorry we missed out on Jan, but let's make March's calender download image something special, normal rules apply, an image of wildlife, landscapes or people from Africa, India, even worldwide.

Most likes secures it.

Get uploading... now.

Let's be having some more images submitted. How about some scenes from the Australian outback for instance?

I can't figure out how to reliably get images to look sharp on the forum here  My latest wildlife shots have been OK but this one is decidedly soft.

If you load the file directly

http://www.robgray.c...o-res/10756.jpg

it looks much sharper.

I thought these were supposed to be African images?

This is my favourite photo of Mkadebona, who was at the time (2010) only the third biggest tusker in Tembe elephant reserve, recently promoted to number 2 after the death of Induna. Sadly Mkadebona was found dead on 7 January 2013- from natural causes, impact injuries to his skull indicate probable cause was a fight with another elephant. He was always my favourite- not the biggest but his tusks so amazingly symmetrical. Normally fairly good natured, on this morning he was in a feisty mood and this photo was taken whilst reversing away at speed.

RIP Mkadebona. There aren't too many of these big tuskers left in the world and at only 45 we all thought he had many years to go.

Safaris and Ketchup are similar, sometimes you shake the bottle of Ketchup and nothing comes out, you shake and shake and shake and all of a sudden everything pops out.
So donīt stop shaking the bottle, thereīs a lot inside.
