  2. Recently I have finished my 61 days overland trip which we had started from Delhi on 25th of Jan and ended up in Gangtok on 31st March then I headed on to Bhutan for another 15 Days. With one of the highest densities of Asiatic elephants, it is one of the best places to see some majestic bulls and herds. Accommodation in dome tents/hostels. Visit to the Eravikulam national park. It is home to the highly endemic Nilgiri Tahr. Munnar also has some of the finest tea estates in India. Day 54 – 56: The hills with tea estates – Darjeeling Drive to Darjeeling. Accommodation in dome tents. Visit to the various tea estates of Darjeeling and tea tasting. A ride on the Darjeeling Himalayan railway which has received the UNESCO World Heritage Area status. A visit to the rock garden. Shopping excursion in the bazaars. Option to experience a wide range of adventure sports like white water river rafting, bungee jumping, paragliding etc. Day 57 – 58: The Himalayan ‘town of orchids’ - Kalimpong Drive to Kalimpong. Accommodation in dome tents/hostels. Visit to the flower markets offering hundreds of different flower species specially orchids. Visit to the Buddhist monasteries, Deolo hill for exquisite mountain views, Kalimpong golf course (one of the most beautiful in the world), and cactus nursery for the ‘tequila plant’. Good Chinese food. White water river rafting in the River Teesta is also an option. Day 59 – 61: City of Gangtok Drive to Gangtok. Accommodation in hostels. The scenery from the town all around is amazing with exquisite views of the Himalayas. Visit to the Enchey Buddhist Monastery, Banjhakri waterfall. A ride on the ropeway cable car above the city. Authentic Himalayan food. Treks in the mountains around the city can also be arranged on request. Farewell trip meeting. Drop of at the airport/railway station. Trip ends.
