Tom Kellie posted a topic in World wildlifehttps://medicalxpress.com/news/2017-06-goat-plague.html ~ This June, 2017 article from Medical Xpress tells how the viral animal illness ‘peste des petits ruminants’ (PPR), or goat plague, has killed more than half of the remaining 10,000 saiga in Mongolia since 2016. Domestic goats and sheep in Mongolia are being vaccinated and their movements restricted to slow the spread of the illness. There's concern that it might also affect the wild Bactrian camels in southern Mongolia.
