  1. After an absence of many years I drove up from Christchurch and spent a couple of hours on the whale watch tour. It was a lovely calm day and we were fortunate to see 3 sperm whales and one humpback. This is our first sperm whale.
  2. The results of the Ganga dolphin survey has just been released. There over 1200 dolphins according to the survey. http://www.wwfindia.org/news_facts/?14681 It is not clear for me which areas have further dolphins and wee not considered in the present survey. I guess there are further habitat and animals in Bihar (Ganga and tributaries), Bengal and Bangladesh (Sunderbans), Assam (Brahmaputra).
