  1. A Very Unlucky Zebra Since WildEarth partnered with Governor's Balloon Safaris to film from the sky we have seen some amazing things. From elephants to lions hippos to hyena and many wildebeest. Nothing, though could of prepared us for this moment. This footage was shot live the moment it happened via Facebook Live. It was amazing. Unsure if others have seen this video yet, but it's a good one. The person narrating is James Hendry and Senzo is on camera.
  2. As an up-and-coming ecologist, I have always had a sense of adventure. My research has given me the privilege of visiting wilderness areas across South Africa, spending large portions of my MSc degree walking through the Greater Kruger National Park, encountering elephants, buffalo and white rhino on foot. Although I would like to think of myself as fairly competent when walking through a wilderness area, this was not always the case. Back in April 2011, as a young first year BSc student, I undertook my first trip on my own, visiting St Lucia in South Africa’s KwaZulu-Natal province. Although the trip itself was incredible, a single event on my final day stole the headlines of my stay. Below is my diary entry from that day. http://www.news24.com/MyNews24/getting-lost-in-the-st-lucia-wilderness-20170503
  3. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3380140/Doomed-zebra-lunch-leopard-crocodile-getting-trapped-two-predators-Kenya.html ~ This article from the U.K. Daily Mail tells how a zebra crossing the Mara River in Masai Mara, Kenya, ran from a large crocodile only to run straight into a waiting leopard. The zebra was killed with both the leopard and the crocodile facing off over the carcass. A photo series by a German photographer illustrates the confrontation.
  4. Just incredible aerial footage from a micro light aircraft in South Luangwa National Park, Zambia. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2605827/When-two-tribes-war-Incredible-moment-legion-hippos-turn-flee-stand-100-crocs-epic-Zambian-river-battle.html
