  2. Does anyone have recommendations for Kenya/Tanzania during the Great Migration, including the highlights for each? May 2017 timeframe. We're looking for the best guides and lodges (or camps) - would like to come as close as possible to our Namibia wildlife safari with Apex Expeditions. Unfortunately, their Tanzania safari is sold out and does not include Kenya. Following safari, we'd like to spend one week in Rwanda for a gorilla trek, but the dates may not line up. Most seem to start in June or July? Thank you for any guidance, we've gotten a rather late start on the planning... Claudia

  4. Hi again everyone! As we (my family and I) are finalizing our itinerary and dates for the February Safari in the Northern Circuit of Tanzania, we have pretty much zoned in on Detasa (Destination African Safaris) as our preferred safari company. We have done some research and looked up reviews. I know there are many good, reputable safari companies, and I just want to make sure that Detasa is one. Has anyone had any experiecne with them? Anything that we should know about? Anything we should be weary of? I know that sounds a little negatively oriented, but honestly all the reviews I read about them were positive so I just want to make sure before we book. I will definitely post my trip report on this website when we return; I'm super excited for the trip!! Thanks in advance for the replies! ~Tomeslice
