This clip was taken on my mobile safari with Alwyn Myburgh. One of many great sightings we had.

Excellent footage. Thanks for sharing. I look forwatd to reading more extensively about your safari in the Savute Marsh. I have not been there since 1993...

Thanks Paolo. I will be writing up my Savute trip more extensively next weekend. There is a mixture of video and stills. This was to whet the appetite!

Gives a new meaning to a cat's "fur ball"! Very interesting watching the leopard carefully pull out the hair, has anyone told them that humans would be less trouble with defurring. Just kidding folks! biggrin.gif

I love the video, Russell. Such a good clear picture. I suppose that means really good equipment. I shall have to catch

up with your Savuti report when I hget back from my safari at the end of the month. I was in Savuti many times in the

early 90's, so I'm pretty familiar with the area.

Wow, was this taken with the new Canon? What lens were you using? Looks pinsharp especially on Youtube. I gathered my family round to watch, as we didn't know this leopard behaviour. Thanks for sharing, and if this is just a taster, can't wait to see the rest. Can I pop this up on the redone portal page? Thanks, Matt

Oops, do we have a new portal page? I never go there so had better check it out! ohmy.gif

Professional quality. I liked the "Drink Lager" background music. Just outstanding. That downy fur in the teeth can get annoying if you're a leopard. Really spectacular.

No worries about the portal page, Matt.

This was taken with my Mark IV and a 500mm. Full screen HD it is not as sharp, but I think I need to do some kind of post video editing on it. I just directly uploaded this from my camera.

Glad your family enjoyed it.

PS And it was in a National Park, so no offroading!

Thanks, Lynn.

The problem is the sound is not that great using the camera, though I tried my best. I think this morning I just very lucky not to have any wind, else you hear nothing.

Just thinking how to edit out my three agonizing seconds of speech....'Yes this is nice'

Thanks to the rest of you too.

I was actually parked next to Brad Bestelink, from Earth touch, who we shared quite a few sightings with. It was thanks to him that there is the nice soft lighting on the leopard.

Behaviour at the sighting was great. Two self drive vehicles, myself and Brad. All impeccibly quiet, which could not be said about our friends from the lodges the next day sad.gif
